I've looked at the wiring diagrams on this forum, but didn't fine the type of bulb the back up light should be. One had an 1129 and one had an 1156.
Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Dan

I think 1156. Isn't an 1129 a 6 Volt bulb?

Should be an 1156. Never heard of an 1129.

Thanks for the info. Funny thing is the 1129 is the only one that was working! Hmmmm....maybe this is a Metric bulb.Busboy wrote:Should be an 1156. Never heard of an 1129.

Maybe I didn't say it loud enough. The ONLY DIFFERENCE IS: 1129 is a 6 VOLT BULB the 1156 is a 12 VOLT BULB. The 1129 will work and be a lot brighter, but will not last as long and may burn or melt your lens. The bases are the same and If the 1156 doesn't work you may have a problem with your socket or wiring.fijidad wrote:Thanks for the info. Funny thing is the 1129 is the only one that was working! The only difference??? That's a significant issue and anyone that uses a 6 volt bulb in a 12 volt system simply needs to just pay someone to repair their cars.
