Anyone know what this is?

Post by mccolalx »

I have a '67 F100...In the process of tracking down and solving my horn issues, I've run into this unit that is wired to the horn relay:

I can't find any mention of this thing in any of the shop manuals or wiring diagram manuals.
I also (as strange as it may sound) can't find the horn.
Thanks in advance for any help

That would be your voltage regulator. you can make out that the terminals are labeled I for ignition, S for stator, A for armature. your horn relay should be on the passenger side inner fender by your starter relay

Yep...I've found the relay, but not the horn.
I've looked everywhere it should be.
I'm assuming that this yellow wire that comes off the same line that goes to the regulator goes to a horn that has been removed:

Thanks
I ended up mounting 2 and getting everything working over the weekend. Nice to have a horn!
