Using a v8 wiring harness

A few years ago my dad said we would "restore" the truck my grandfather gave to me before he died. so he stated ribbing it apart throwing everything in buckets and he completely cut up the wiring harness. When my dad split on me i got a donor truck to get the frame off of it because my frame had been cracked by my father who then recycled it i took the complete wiring harness out of my donor truck witch housed a v8 and the gauge wire and the mother board on the gauge don't have the same number of connectors but fit in to each other is this a problem. i also have the v8 gauges
