spotlight issue

Post by takehikes »

I wasnt sure where to post this so here goes.....
my 68 step side had spotlights at one time. The mounts are in place and in good shape (hole plugged with some plastic plug. I dont want spotlights (too pricey) but was trying to think of something to do with the mount. I wondered if I could put a small amber LED light in the hole and wire it in to the turn circuit. I'm not planning on painting the truck so removing the mounts isnt an option. Most people dont even notice the mounts are there but they bug me. Chrome is nice though!
Any ideas at all would be appreciated...or if you have some cheap spotlights I'd be interested (correct Unity's are about $300 each!).

Google "dummy spotlights". Speedway Motors carries them for $35 each.
