VOLTS POWER WIRE HOOK UP?

Post by Dan »

Years ago I installed this 3 gauge set, everything is done and working except for the single power wire to the Volts gauge. Any advice where I can safely hook it up to?

The instructions say: "appropriate 12v source at fuse box" I'm sure this is really simple but I don't want to burn down my truck on cruise night ya know...so any advice will be humbly accepted.
This is what my brain sees under the dash...Image

I connected mine to one of those male terminals at the fuse box. The gauge will have juice when key is the on position only. Either terminal will work. Might want to use a inline fuse to gauge.

Ever have the obvious just staring you in the face and you still can't see it? Those 2 male terminals on the fuse box you mentioned, I NEVER noticed them before, probably because they are rusty (see my pic earlier in post) and all my other wiring is kind of all over the place.

they aren't labeled either like everything else on the fuse box, but sure enough that worked great to power the gauge, and I will also add an inline fuse, always good advice. Thanks for the help!
