alternator
when i charge my battery up and then run the engine for 5-10 min, then shut it off and try to start it again and have no battery power, does that mean that my alternator is draining my battery, what can i do about it?

Clean your battery clamps really well and make sure they're tight. Also make sure the alternator connections are tight. Sounds more like your alternator isn't keeping the battery charged, not necessarily draining it. You can take it in to the local parts store to get checked out.

Well, it could either be a bad alternator or a bad battery. You'll have to test each to see which isn't up to specs. How old is the battery? Maybe it's just not taking the charge....if the alternator is even putting one out.

new regulator, i would guess the battery to be about 4 years old, i will try a new one out of my dads f-550 on monday
