I bought a Dash Cluster on Ebay. Posting said it would fit my '77 XLT. It did not. Seller took it back. But here's what I learned. Ford had many dash clusters and even had multiple clusters for same year. And to add to the confusion, there is a number embedded on the actual cluster. But there is a different number stamped on the plastic. See pic.
Which one matters? The one on the plastic film is the key to make sure it matches your pin/plug. Double check before you buy one!
The code on the actual cluster tells you the design of the cluster: gages, lights, silver bezel outline, was '55' circled, etc.

Those are like ours. Some have full guages. Others have dummy lights. 73 is a one year only. But can be wired in if you are up to it. The number on the circut board is the number to pay attention to. Not the bezel.
