Intermittent Wiper Conversion

Post by slopopkpete »

I've purchased a later model intermittent wiper setup (I believe it's from a '78-'79 Ford P/U) for my '71 P/U. I hooked everything up including the ground wire from the switch. The unit worked fine for a while then the intermittent feature quit working. The two speed portion of the switch worked fine. Disappointed I removed it and put the stock switch back. I recently picked up another setup at a swap meet for $5 (I should have known better) and the intermittent feature didn't work at all. My question is does anybody repair these units or is there any type of diagnostic information available to allow me to troubles shoot?

Thanks

I just put one in my project today bought off ebay. It works fine. I can hear the relay click. My guess is the time delay relay is bad not the switch.
Good luck

Mine did not work so I took the control box apart and soldered the bad connections on the circuit board. Now works fine. I have the newer style with the bigger control box.
