The schematics posted on this forum are excellent, but there are none for 1971. Are the 71 schematics the same as 1970?

I can't say they are the "same" but I suspect they are very, very close. Some things like side-marker lights could be different from one year to the next due to government mandates, etc.
If you use the 1970 diagrams on other years, just be sure to verify the wiring colors and any other details that might clue you in to any significant differences.
It's likely that 1971 has a few things different from 1970 and a few thrown in from 1972 trucks but, otherwise, pretty much the same.
