Wiper delay

Post by Mancar1 »

Well a long time ago in a far far away Ford land. I purchased a wiper delay for the 68 from the guardian of a multitude of Bump
plus other parts. A very helpful person known as fordman. One of the Good Guys
If I remember right it is off a late model 70's or 80 Ford truck. So after all this time I do believe I am going to take the challenge, and install it before the next wet one arrives.
Yup tomorrow it is just me, the 68, Ebony the yard cat, and our trusty 6 pack who will come up empty. :D
Course gotta install the Moog steering stabilizer first. Maybe I will let Ebony do the stabilizer.
Of course the 6 pack stays full until the work is done.
Keep on Trucking.......John

Good ol' fordman! He's helped me plenty. I've got one of those waiting in a box somewhere, too. Be sure and let us know how it goes, John. Good luck!

John, I installed one in mine and one thing you'll need to do before installing is to shorten the shaft on the delay switch to the same length as the old switch. And if I remember right I has to use washers to shim out the body where It mounts to the dash. Other than that it was smooth install. enjoy the day

This is probably the BEST modification I have installed.

You'll love it!
