tail light wiring advice

Post by Craigerf100 »

Ok so I hooked up the wiring for my tail lights after I got the new bed installed.

And the brake lights do not work, signals are weak and when I turn on the lights the tail lights are reversed. Meaning light switch on tail lights off, light switch off tail lights on... but are weak. Reverse lights nothin (the reverse lights never worked.)

Before the bed swop everything (but the reverse lights) worked. I am 99.999% sure the wiring is right cause each wire color matches and I used info off of the tech diagrams on fordification.Com. but I did remove the trailer lights.

This tells me bad ground, my is not tighten down all the way yet.
So I am not sure how to tackle this. Any advice would be appreciated. Thx

Bizarre! The weak lights I would attribute to the ground, but the reversed tail lights is strange. Make sure to clean the ground down to bare metal and seal once it's tightened down. I like to use battery terminal protector in the small aerosol can. Then see how they work.
