When I bought the truck it had an after market rear bumper with an integrated trailer plug with an dash mounted control. He ran a power line from the battery to the brake switch and rear. He also ran a new wire from the brake switch to the rear.
There is also a four prong plug in the back that looks like it may have been original.
In the back there is a mess of spliced wires.
I took out the controller up front and took off the four prong plug.
I have working parking rear and side lights, but no stop or back up lights.
I can't find the original wired that were disconnected from the brake switch.
I am looking at the master wiring file, but it is mostly greek to me.
I am considering completely swapping out the entire wiring on the truck, but I would like to have it back road ready until then.
This is my first project and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: 71 F100 No brake or back up lights
After studying the wiring diagram from the 72 and 70 on this site and a lot of hours wire hounding I found a red and a red and black stripe wire hanging together. Thank God they were the right ones. I can drive again!
