ground strap

Post by jimmy828 »

I am installing the ground strap back on the engine to firewall. The strap was mounted on the cast iron intake then to firewall. Since i change the intake to aluminum, can i still use the intake for ground. I also replaced the old intake bolts with the Edelbrock bolts if it makes any difference. Seems to me the bolt going thru the intake into head would make sufficient ground. :hmm:

Aluminum is a great conductor. Replace the ground strap in the same area.

Thanks for the reply. I'm slowly getting this thing ready to throw some fire to it.
