Having trouble removing starter from engine

Lotta room in an engine bay with a six in it. I'd have already mashed it outta there a long time ago. Nothing in the engine bay is porcelain, pry it out.

You never know, someone maaaayyyy have added porcelain!

Success! Went out and got a dead blow hammer that was a little smaller then the mallet I was using and beat that sucker out. Got the new one in and its back on the road. When I got the old one out there's was a huge wasp nest inside where the fly wheel is. I wander if that's what was holding it in place! Thanks for the help!

I've heard of Gremlins....but Wasps in the starter is a first for me!
