Well not too much too post.
I'm mainly mustering up the motivation to tear the entire top end off my 302 to replace the head gaskets. And then hope and pray they hold.

I did order an 8" universal dual diaphragm brake booster and adjustable brake push rod.

And a c4 kick down cable kit.
All arrived friday.

I'm about to order a electric cooling fan.

But first I'm in the process of buying a non rusty short wide bed for my truck.
I have 2 options.
A 67 bed in decent shape with quite a lot of dings and dents?
Or a 70-72 bed with a lot less dings and dents but has those ugly reflectors integrated in the bump on the side?
Both rust free like I said. The 67 is $450 and the other is $350.

Can't remember who but somebody here took the pointed ends from another bed, or might have been the fenders, and welded them over the reflector mounts. Came out nicely.

Yeah, I remember that mod but I don't recall who either.

Great job on rebuilding the truck! I'm impressed with the huge amount of work you've tackled.

Apparently Ford actually made a replacement piece. Here's a thread showing it. https://fordification.com/forum/viewtop ... &view=next Unfortunately, doesn't look like anybody has any or remans it.

The guy that did my body work used a piece from a 67-69 bed on mine (originally a 71 bed), but I had a donor bed to sacrifice.

Got a "new" bed today. It's a 67 bed. It has its dents And dings to fix. But no rust. It spent it's life hauling grain.

Well started tearing down my engine. Next is the heads. Whats the best way to remove the head bolts? I've been told a impact drill works great.

So Here is my Knew booster set up. It's about $50 cheaper then an oem booster set up. And its works way better.

I've got these oem parts forsale. All of them work great :)

Looking sharp! Got any details/links on that booster set up? I've been researching and sourcing and have several possible sources/configurations but haven't settled on anything yet. I'd rather get a "proven" bolt in arrangement that somebody I know says works. After watching your build all this time, I trust your judgement.

Lol thanks sarge. Yes I now have 3 of these on my three vehicles. Two 7" and one 8". They work great. I find all my stuff on ebay. I'll post some links to get u set up:
The booster:
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav= ... 56&alt=web

The brackets (the only modifications is the the brackets, I had to drill 2 more holes.)
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav= ... 49&alt=web

And brake rod
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?na
v=item.view&id=221407988915&alt=web

I chose to go with an oem Ford MC. Buuuut you have to whore out the holes so that it fits the booster. You have to do this for these boosters no mater the diameter. The only way around this (I think) is to Purchase a GM MC. I say this cause I see these boosters mated with GM MCs more then Fords.
