Tail light problems
The right rear tail light and break light doesn't work. I have traced the wires back to the turn signal switch and there isn't any power coming from the switch for the turn signal. Does the break light run through the TSS or is that a unrelated issue ? The front blinkers, the right blinker, and the right break light works fine. Would it be a safe assumption the TSS is the problem and if so where is the best place to buy a replacement. Thanks Jeff

Re: Tail light problems
The brake light and turn signal use the same filament in the 1157 bulb. So, yes, both are affected by the turn signal switch. That's how your blinker works when your brakes are applied - It periodically turns off the brake light signal to make a blink for lack of a better explanation.
I don't have experience replacing a TS switch but I know other forum members do and, hopefully, they will give you the benefit of their experiences.
From what I have seen, TS switches ain't cheap. And, it seems that, somewhere, I read the repair kits are iffy at best and it is better to replace the switch. I hope I am recalling that correctly.
Let us know how it turns out.

Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in garages. (Apologies to Kenneth Grahame.)
