Upon purchasing my 67 F100, the guy I bought it from included a plate inthe box of parts he included with the truck. From my understanding it's a grounding plate and could never figure out exactly where to install it in the truck, but only knew that it belonged with the instrument panel. After a little research, I found the attached diagram which labels the plate as "10C899" (located about mid-page). Can anyone provide comment as to the location/installation of this plate? Any pictures would be helpful too. Thank you!

Re: Instrument Panel Ground Plate?
Can you post a picture of what you are talking about? Because from looking at the schematic, I believe that the part which is labeled with the number (10C899) is the metal part that is also shown from the front which goes between the outer cluster shell and the gauge pod. If you look at the schematic, that part is not numbered and it looks as if they numbered it "lying down" right under its position in the cluster. The number that appears to possibly reference the metal panel in the assembly drawing (10890) actually points to the foam spacers which are used in the original assembly. Maybe not, but for the life of me I cannot picture what that part might be otherwise and I have never seen a "grounding plate". Of course, maybe there is something like that with the circuit board clusters??? But with your truck being a 67, you would not have a circuit board anyway.
I am not sure what I am saying is making sense, but I have torn apart and reassembled several of these clusters and have no idea what part you are talking about without seeing a photograph. All of the clusters with metal backs have all of the grounds attach directly to the gauge pod, and then the cluster itself completes the ground when it is screwed into the dash.

Re: Instrument Panel Ground Plate?
It is a reinforcement plate:
=======================================================
10C899 - Reinforcement, Instrument Cluster Housing
'67-'69 F100/350 (81B, 85B)
C7TZ-10C899-A
Used on instrument cluster with charge indicator and oil pressure warning lights
=======================================================
My trucks have gauges or I would look for it.

That would explain why I haven't seen one. I've only worked on full gauge clusters... Never had the dummy light clusters.

Thank you, 68RGR!
Calfdemon - Unfortunately, with the having the 67 gauge cluster, the dummy lights still existed.
