Installed ign II and new high output coil. Been running and starting fine until yesterday. No power to coil so I checked and squeezed the fitting where I hooked into the power to coil at the ign switch on the resistor wire prior to resister. After doing so truck had power to the coil and fired right up. Now I go out to drive the 68 to work and it attempted to start, but after a couple sputters died and now no power to coil. Have not had the time to mess with it yet today. This same scenrio happened recently and I thought the coil was bad so I replaced it. I am now starting to suspect my Ign switch. What do you all think?

Re: Ign switch?
Just ordered a ign switch in. I will pick it up tomorrow. Went out a little while ago, between rain drops. Put the key in and jiggled the ign switch around a little and the 68 fired right up. Got that one figured out. Should have replaced the switch when I first suspected it. What the heck, it is only $$$

Re: Ign switch?
Good move. You want it to start but one thing you don't want is for the stupid thing to come apart. Mine did a while back and dang near started a fire.

Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in garages. (Apologies to Kenneth Grahame.)
