1971 F100 Printed circuit board leads

Post by AzApache »

Where can i find a detailed wiring schematic for the circuit board itself? I've dug into the wiring harness itself, but i need to know what from the harness goes where on board. The oil, battery, voltage & fuel gauges are easy enough to figure out. but the other 5 wires i need proper placement for. Can anyone help?

I haven't seen a schematic of the PC cluster but some things come to mind.

First, you should be able to follow the PC traces to figure out at least part of it.

Second, the wire colors on the connector should help if you refer to the wire colors from the wiring diagrams.

Third, you can use an ohm meter to find the dash illumination terminal, the high-low beam terminal and the left and right turn signal indicator terminals. That should account for at least four wires.

Also, this thread may (or may not) help:

Good luck,

Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in garages. (Apologies to Kenneth Grahame.)
