Instrument cluster light?
I bought an instrument cluster on eBay, if I'm not mistaken it's the the correct one for my 67 it has little bulbs on the oil and alt. indicators instead of needles, looks to be in good shape, my question is while I have the truck on the oil light is on all the time and when I turn off the truck the alt. light stays one it is not on while the truck is running but as soon as I turn it off it turns on is that. Normal those trucks or is there something wrong with the cluster or truck

The alt light will be on if the ignition is in the ON position, but the motor is off. It is supposed to be off during normal driving.
The oil light should be off during normal driving too. Check the oil pressure sender on the oil filter housing. Hook up a mechanical gauge to it to see if you actually have oil pressure. Replace the sender if you do, replace the oil pump if you don't.

Make sure that you're using the correct oil pressure sending unit. The trucks with "OIL" lights use a different sender than trucks with "OIL" gauges.67F100JMA wrote: if I'm not mistaken it's the the correct one for my 67 it has little bulbs on the oil and alt. indicators instead of needles,

yes that is what i think too. you had needles guages before and now your trying to use one with lights instead of guages. the wiring between the two are different. you will hav to probably have to rewire things before that cluster will work in place of a guage cluster.
