No Courtesy Lights
No sign of interior courtesy lights in 72 crew cab under dash? No sockets, no nada. Pretty dark at night. Push switches are in the doors. Everything else on the dash works and there are no apparent mods...pretty stock truck. There is a vacant dome light cutout (no wires) and I have a new light assembly once I find the motivation to remove the headliner (assuming I have to). Any pics on what the original under dash sockets look like? Have not found them on Carpenter or MAC. Wiring diagrams show above the driver/passenger kick panels. No other trucks near me to check out... Thank you!

Re: No Courtesy Lights
This isn't for a '72 exactly, but should still work. It's a little easier to read than the '72 diagram.
Here's a link to the '72 diagram anyways

Re: No Courtesy Lights
Thank you! But appears there are no under dash lights courtesy lights. On a crew cab the dome light is a bit far back. OK then...

Re: No Courtesy Lights
There were no under dash courtesy lights that came stock in our trucks. The only light in the crew cab was the rear inner cab light. This is the reason that I went to the pick-a-part and bought a newer rear view mirror from a newer car which has the built in driver and passenger map lights in it. I will be wiring it up when I install it so I can have some front lights in my cab.

Re: No Courtesy Lights
You could use the ones installed in Mustangs. They mount with a single screw and would tuck up under the dash unseen.
