79 tilt column emergency flasher

Post by F100 Dad »

I'm doing a 79 tilt column install in a 1970.

In a prior post someone stated "The emergency flasher in the 79 column indeed only needs one wire to work. I tapped the 67 flasher harness white wire with red stripe to the 79 white wire with red stripe."

Will this result in being able to use either the column or the dashboard hazard switch? If not, has anyone done this successfully and how?

Well, I decided to go for it and tap the column flasher wire (white with red stripe) in to the same color wire near the dashboard hazard switch. It works! :woohoo:

Now either switch can be used.

I deleted the hazard switch on my 79 column as I wanted to keep the switch in the glove box.
