Looking real good! It may be expensive but I really like the look of the fiberglass sleeving. Much better than electrical tape, zip ties, and plastic loom. :thup:

Not sure what you are paying, but I used to use this guy for fiberglass and carbon tubes for not auto stuff, most is pretty inexpensive.

Rained again today, but between the drops I got a new harness for my voltage regulator wired and the alternator installed.

I haven't strapped anything down yet, but it looks clean, the wiring is well protected, and everything is labeled. One of my last steps will be to make small, numbered labels and make a book describing where each wire goes and what it does. Finally got some terminal connections so I can rebuild the wiring blocks I'm reusing. Dash, reverse lights and tail lights are all that's left.

Howdy!
Arbo, I checked out the page you linked but couldn't find the temperature rating for the glass that company sells. It is pretty inexpensive. I went with some very high heat type, 450 degree contact temp and ambient of about 1000. I think it gets more expensive as you go up in heat resistance, and even more expensive if you want the type that resists all chemicals, solvents, etc. Good looking out, though.

I found (at least in the past) you could contact the guy and he was good at answering questions. But on the site I found these specs, fwiw.
Sleeve Temperature Specs

Carbon Fiber
600F

Kevlar
250-350F

Fiberglass
Holds 75% of tinsility at 650, softens at 1350F

Basalt
1800F

Zylon
1250F
I think as I rewire a bit at a time I will use some of his stuff.

Howdy!
Yesterday I played hunt and peck with the headlight switch. Finally got the headlight switch squared away. Didn't look like much got done, but rewiring from diagrams and memories when all the wiring to my headlight and ignition switches had the coating baked off during my little fire. I will say this about the EZ Wire kit: where THEY think your wires go and where YOU think/know they go are two different things. Still happy with the kit, but if you are uncomfortable with tossing the directions and wiring the way YOU want to it could be a nightmare. Today I had to run errands, but I got the entire engine bay wired and protected in fiberglass. Even my wife took a look and said it looked really clean. I have to finish the tail lights, button up the dash, figure out how I'M gonna wire up reverse lights, and finish with the hazards. Never had hazards or reverse lights in my truck, so I'm looking forward to them. Got a few pictures to share of the work I did today. Of course, when she's all done and looking pretty I'll post pictures of the completed job as well as a list of parts I used and their cost. Should help someone. I'm aiming for being done tomorrow.

Weather has been off here, I have a room to drywall and my Pops is coming to visit in a week, so I didn't get much done. Everything works, I figured out the switch pigtails for headlights, ignition, wipers, heater, radio, etc, and just have to finish wiring the instrument cluster and gauges, tighten up my runs, and clean up under the dash. Am working on an after-action report that covers materials and tools purchased and used, list of manufacturers, any techniques I found superior to others, and lessons (good and bad) learned. This was the first time I rewired the entire truck, the next will go faster and smoother for sure.
