Lol I'm battling the same anguish of what to do.

Put the work in and wait for a proper shiny black paint job. Or just spray it all with matte black paint and call it a day. Sigh what to do.

This is the gun I have, I've used it for small parts that I don't need to color sand and buff.

for what its worth ... you have to ask yourself ...

are you looking for a (show) paint looking finish? or are you looking for it to be a driver?

if you are looking for show paint you will not be happy with either the duplicolor or the rustoleum base clear lacquer's

both will chip and scratch easily if you want tough as nails paint you gotta go urethane and be ready to spend $300 minimum for enough paint to do the whole truck

if your gonna go GLOSS BLACK it will show every imperfection in your body work
unless you prep it right

if your looking for a get it one color and drive the snot out of it paint job cheap!
head over to tractor supply and pickup implement paint its tough cheap comes in a ton of colors

this is true, i am looking for "tough as nails" but im also looking for some gloss. yes im sure i will see many flaws with gloss paint. and yes ill be driving it quite abit. but i will be running by some cruise ins and some small shows. so that tractor paint is a good idea. and theres a tractor supply just a town over :hd: thanks derby.

Well got a little done today. started on the other fender, getting it to bare metal.... found some rust, yay!!! also sanded the grille down a bit. i also sprayed some sand-able primer on it. more sanding to come. body work isnt my favorite.

The whole thing looks nice. What seats did you use and how much 'trouble' was getting them in there? I like the idea of doing away with the bench.

I found some mustang seats. Mine are not pony/gt seats.

You may not know that in our 67-72 and up trucks. Bucket seats were a factory option. They just plucked them from the mustangs lol

The brackets are made by a guy named bill on here and FTE.(fordtruckinthusiest) they are $175. Or make them yourself. You can find the 'blue print' here in the tech section.

Installation is easy, as long as TE seats u find have (adjusting) tracks. The mounts bolt right up. And u do have to drill out 3 or 4 holes in the floor.

I haven't driven my truck since I installed the seats. But I can tell I'm gonna like it. It just feels right lol.

I also installed some 3 point seat belts. Super safe now lol. The bolt holes are already in the cab.

I'm putting the Mustang buckets in mine too. Fortunately, I have CragarF100 ahead of me so I'll know exactly what to do. Great work, she looks fantastic!
