rear brake/running lights

Post by spacelong »

Ok so I put a 79 tilt into my 72. I'm not sure about the install since the wiring harness were different. Emergency flashers work front and back(from dash), brake lights work, but when I turn on my headlight switch I lose my left turn signal and it becomes very bright while the right is very dark. At closer exam the left side has both bulb filaments on, while the right has the less bright of the two filaments on. checked some grounds & bulbs so far with no luck. Could my headlight switch be the culprit? Or may my re-wiring of the two different harness be the problem? :x

Check your wiring against this first. http://www.fordification.com/tech/tilt.htm A lot of people have done this swap and seems wiring is the biggest confusion area. Good luck and keep us posted. :fr:
