I recently put a whole new wiring harness (Painless Wiring #10117) in my '67 F100. Everything has connected up correctly and runs fine. However, when cleaning up I noticed this switch from my old wiring harness that I pulled out. The bracket fits on the steering column and contains 4 wires: 2 x Red-Blue, 2 x Black-White. Knowing that the Red-Blue wires are typically for the Neutral-Safety switch, is it possible this was for the gear switch? The guy I bought it from installed a '79 steering column, so this may just be the old switch from the original steering column. Can anyone confirm what the switch is?
Can anyone tell me what this switch if for?
