in case you guys are wondering why my brake line splicing is so bad. whats u see isnt final, its just till i make sure everything else works. see i will be installing a proportioning valve, up near the MC. and i want to do it right so i will be replaceing many of the brake lines on the truck at a later date.
Why not now? beacuase there are so many other things i had to do and spend money on. Also at the present time didnt have the money or the eqiupment to do it the right way.
Incase you are wondering i dont plan on driving it much till ive finished the brake job the right way.

so ive been adding up the cost on some of my projects on my truck. like the brakes.
ok so I installed a remand f350 booster and f100 disc/drum MC. the booster is a cardone reman dual diaphram booster 54-73112, $95.99 at autozone $24 core. The MC is a fenco reman front disc rear drum M1779 for $15.99 $14 core. the booster bracket i got for $20 with a bad booster i used for the core exchange.

so $96
$16
$20
---------
$132 for that set up.

the front disc twin i beam ran me $250 which came with a proportioning valve. and the new calipers were $14.99 a peice with a $5 core.

so$132
$250
$15
$15
-------
$412

so with all the odds and ends like bushing and such lets say its close to

$500 for the entire brake upgrade.

just thought id share lol :hd:

Haven't posted in a while, been doing a few things that are not worth posting.
been ordering parts, like the bucket seat brackets.
i also got a 2.5in H-pipe and few other things.

i fabbed up a cab mount patch, my driver side mount is not in great shape. not proud i dont have the means or the $$ to fix it right.
Image

and did a horrible temporary patch job on the passenger side just to keep the water out.
Image

i added a fire extinguisher and connected my the linkage finally
Image
Image

i found 1 spot on each of my front fenders that i have to fix before prime and paint

its done! no not the truck the bucket seat project. a project i decided to do after my truck was wrecked. once i realized these trucks from factory had a bucket seat option. i just had too. the 60s muscle car bucket seats are anyones favorite. why not have em in my truck especially if they came from factory.
its funny a few people have asked "why buckets? keep the bench" and have given me many reasons why i should keep the bench. one of them is so i can have my wife sit next to me. well... after my accident i made one goal, thats to make this truck safe as can be. one of those things are 3-point seat belts. soooo my wife is just gonna have to sit on her side of the truck. shes seams fine with that lol.

sorry for the crappy picture quality

Looks fantastic! Where did you get those seat belts and how was the install? Any "gotchas"?

Hey thanks :) I got them on eBay. I just looked up seatbelts for our trucks starting with 1967. Cost me $50 each! I've only ever seen them for a $100 a piece. So I had to buy them before it it was too late. They are universal and not year specific. so if u want some info to buy the right ones, hit me up.
Only 2 things so far that would register as 'gotchia'. The bolts that are on the top piece that screws into the holes in your cab; are the wrong size. And the kits don't come with the 'L' brackets to mount to the floor. Both easy fixes. They do offer the mounting brackets for $15 but I'm going to try and find some heavy dudy ones at a hardware store.
