Well it went out so I tried replacing the bulb but nothing fits. Tried 3 different sizes, every bulb is loose and falls out. The guy at Oreilys said i'd have to replace the whole socket. So does anyone make a bulb that actually fits? I went up to the biggest size they had and it would just wiggle and couldn't get a tight enough fit. And would only blink if I moved it into the correct position. But wouldn't stay in place and then quit blinking.
Well I just came from back outside. I cleaned the socket, took a bulb and put one round of electrical tap around the base, put it back into the socket, WORKS!! But still need a permanent solution for a bulb.

I believe they should be standard 1157 (dual element) or 1156 (single element) bulbs. I suspect your oreilly guy may be correct.

The old bulb was a 1157, tried a new one and was too small. Right now I have a 2357 but too loose without the electrical tape around the base to get a snug fit. Problem now is, it blinks but it's dim. In the sun you can't tell it's blinking unless im in the shade.

You may be able to "shrink" the bulb socket down so the bulb fits more snug. Be sure to check your ground for the socket, the tape may be inhibiting the ground path. I would try to pull the socket and replace it, they are fairly cheap. Barring that, see if you can squeeze the socket in a bit where the posts from the bulb slide into the socket to get it to grip the bulb tighter.
