side markers
Changing the side marker lights on the 68 CS. The old ones have the two wires . The new ones just the hot, and the marker mounting screw is the ground. I am thinking that I use the hot and tape off the ground wire, or hook it to the mounting screw. My thinker has a lot of years on it. Some things I know I have done in years gone by just are not as clear as they used to be.

I'm assuming that these are just single filament bulbs like a 194 or something similar. In which case I would just try one of the lights with the ground wire not connected and if it doesn't light up, try it with the ground wire attached to the mounting screw.

Thanks for the reply. Yup I will put hot to the single wire and ground is the marker body to truck body.
