New Wiring

Post by 69Ford »

Just finished up rewiring my headlights with a wiring harness that takes the power right of the battery and through relays instead of all the power
going through the switch. High and Low beams are two different circuits with two relays. I ran both circuits through 20 amp fuses off a power fuse
block from the battery. Heres a picture of my wiring. The none power fuse block is for the charging and amp gauge circuits replacing the shot
45 year old inline fuse holders. Any thoughts on the 20amp fuses for the headlights should I go with a higher or lower amp fuse.

20 amp fuse can handle more than 240 watts. You are covered.

I would use a fuse that automatically resets rather than a single use fuse. That way you have a chance of having the lights return if there is a ground short.
