That's great that you figured it out. It would be nice if you could share what your problem was, and how you fixed it. That's the whole point of this forum.

Re: Decoding the old 6 connector camper wiring
I deleted it because I was so embarrassed by the simplicity and near stupidity of the question. Essentially, I bought a new multi-meter as the old one was damaged…don’t ask…. Once prepared I got some needed exercise by repeatedly getting into the cab and flicking switches then laying down to check the meter and decipher the wiring pattern which is…from Left (Front) to right (Rear)
Pin #
1 -12V ground, white
2 Right signal, green
3 Left signal, yellow
4 Marker lights, Black (modern is brown)
5 +12V accessory, Red (modern is black)
6 Backup, Black/Red (modern is blue)
It’s a shame the original camper harness is impossible to find, but I made do by hacking the wires out of the original connector and slicing into a harness I made.
Thanks for calling me on it.
Cheers,
Bill

Thanks for sharing. It's good stuff to know. Here's a diagram showing the camper wiring.
