Good morning everyone,
I would like to start getting some parts together to hopefully be able to start my build before too long.
One of the big things I want to update is the electrical. I know that I can get a harness set up from sources like Ron Francis and Painless but these are the only two that I know of.
Anyone have recomendations on where to source an electrical system? (fuse box, harness, etc)
I looking for something that is functional, reliable, and cost effective. Electrical upgrades in the future include A/C, additional lighting, stereo upgrade, and possibly a winch.
Thanks.

Re: Recomendations on vehicle harnesses
I bought mine from EZ Wiring. Good quality harness with all the functions but doesn't include terminals or plugs so you have to splice your own or use aftermarket switches and such. But at half the price it's worth the extra effort.

I used Rebel wiring. Probably similar to EZ, universal kit that is cheaper than Painless. I was really happy with the quality and the customer service.

Re: Recomendations on vehicle harnesses
Funny thing...I just ordered a Rebel harness about 20 minutes ago for my '70. I have an EZ in my '69 and have had no problems with it but I decided to pay a little more and buy the Rebel as it's made in the good ol' USA and the panel holds the flashers whereas the flashers have to be mounted with the EZ kit.
There are several dealers online for the Rebel and the EZ. I found one that wanted $50+ just to ship it! I ended up finding one on ebay for the same price as every other site but shipping was only $10.50 and I should get it next week (nowhere near ready for it yet but I'm gathering!).

BTW...I got the 21 circuit one which in addition to the basics, it includes circuits for an electric fan, electric fuel pump, A/C, backup lights, pwr. doors/windows, etc.

Re: Recomendations on vehicle harnesses
Awesome, thanks a ton guys. Is there any big differences between the Rebel and EZ wiring?
