Blower motor resistor

Post by Madsen1970F100 »

During my rebuild I accidentally messed up the heater blower motor resistor. I looked for ideas on here but still am confused and thought I'd post an inquiry.

FIrst, is there anyplace to get these things anymore? One link I found asked for ford part #.... anyone know what the part number is for this? Its a 1970 with 302, 3-prong deal.

Second, can it be installed without removing the entire heater box? Just a question to avoid disconnecting hte heater core hoses and such, being lazy.

Third, is there some description for a creative engineering rig using some resistors one could get at radio shack?

As it is I just disconnected it and have the fan on full blast or off. Thats fine for me really but if I can rig something up or pick one up nad get it done right, that would be better.

Thanks for any insights.... :fr:

I'd start searching through the local junk yards for one. Find two and take the second one to an auto electronics place that can make some that functions the same.
