electric choke
what part of the solenoid do i hook the hot wire from the electric chock too.i have it on the right side of the solenoid ,im having second thought if i have it wired up right.im trying to install a stereo too.can figure that one out.did how the instructions told me but no good luck. the radio turns on when i wire up the red and yellow wire up to the hot off the batter to the "I" on the solenoid but wont turn off once i take the key out nor motor turns off.

Re: electric chock
The electric choke needs to be wired so that it is powered when the ignition key is in the 'on' position only.
The stereo's red wire should be wired so that it is powered when the key is in the 'on' and 'acc' positions. I would connect it to the wire that powered the previous radio through the radio fuse. The yellow wire is for the stereo's station memory and that should be connected so that it is powered all of the time - through a fuse of course for safety.

Connect the choke wire to the stator terminal of the alternator.

Re: electric chock
There is an empty stud on the back of the alternator, marked with an "S".

There is an "S" cast into the alternator body near the stator stud.

Re: electric choke
As was metioned above, connect it to the stator terminal on the back of the alternator. The terminal is marked with an "S" or "STA", which is cast into the alternator case. That is where I connected mine. The choke will get power as soon as the engine is running and won't get any power when the engine is stopped. This is perfect because the choke only needs power while the engine is running.
