Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I have been on here. OK, so here is what I did and what's going on. First thing I did was change over to duraspark. I used the constant 12V coil. It's a stock form of this http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detai ... &ppt=C0334. I went ahead and disconnected the pink wire. I also used the brown wire to run from the Blue/white wire to go to the solenoid. I took the ground wire from the dist and grounded it at the block and grounded the box at the firewall. This is one thing I was not sure if it would work. since the blue/white wire run to the coil, I put it on the "I" side of the Solenoid. This side is constant hot even with the key off. I though this was strange. The coil was getting really hot. So I'm not sure if I routed something incorrectly. I also installed my propane set up. I'm not sure if I'm getting fuel. It's sounding like it wants to start, but is not. I know this is a lot of information, but any help would be great.
Thank you all,
Davin

That "I" terminal on the solenoid should not be hot all the time with the key off. It sounds to me like the solenoid has failed causing it to stay closed, (energized). You'll want to pull a spark plug to check for spark once you replace the solenoid. It's kind of hard to realize how you've wired the Duraspark from your description but you can use this simple diagram to verify the wiring on it:

Re: Duraspark issues?
Here's how I wired it to the ignition switch. I clipped a connector on the wire and ran a wire with a female spade on both ends to the red wire of the two prong plug on the ignition box and left the rest of the ignition switch as is. Then ran a wire with a female spade on one end and ring terminal from the other terminal on the plug to the I terminal of the solenoid. Fired up first turn of the key.
