left job-truck died. tow truck..stopped at gas station put $20 in rear tank..Truck would not start
$115 for tow..at my home truck started....$150-$115-$20=$15 I was better off staying home
Now truck runs..but fuel gauge is stuck at half mark..even when key is off...
I can hear the different sounds each fuel pump makes when selector switch is changed..and key is turned
Was told there is a 3rd booster pump..cannot locate or find any proof on line or parts store..a phantom pump that is not here in reality like the Obama, Clint and the rest of the GOP supporters could see , but No one else could??

Only fuse under dash is for "FUEL SELECTOR SWITCH"
Gauge was working fine
is there a relay or some other "ford had a new idea" design attempt to reinvent the wheel regarding fuel gauges
this is a $400 truck bought from original owner 3 years ago..I am up to $3000 spent..STILL A DEAL
new battery, alt, shocks, brakes, steering gear box, front brake lines, upper and lower ball joints, rear brake line between wheels, exhaust from manifold to tail pipe, replaced lifter rods when 3 "failed for no reason" and would not stay in rockers (but truck still ran-poorly but ran) replaced both fuel pumps and rear tank, right side rear leaf spring bracket( truck rode low and to the right for a while) water pump and thermostat, plugs & wires...
this may have relevance dome light has 3 bulbs..one for when doors open..(center) 2 switchable map lights..right and left..
center dome light works with headlight switch and doors..
right & left map lights ( with new bulbs that have been tested and proven to work) will not come on
I have 2 fords 91 F150 $400 and 88 escort $2000 ( had 58xxx original miles bought from original owner 28 MPG)
I have 2 chevys 2000 Silverado( I bought new) and 96 blazer ( Bought in 98 from dealer)
between 4 vehicles its all I can do to keep at least 3 running at the same time
enough about me
whats the deal with my fuel gauge???????
