Hey everyone,
So my speedometer has been goin crazy for so long i finally cant deal with it anymore. Ive replaced the housing and wire, but not the gear yet. It seems under ten it bounces a lot, i hit a bump in the road it goes haywire, and when im at or close to 70 mph it just drops to zero and stays there unless i let off the gas and ease back onto it. Any troubleshoot or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

The plastic gear on the tranny end comes out easily for an inspection and NPD has them as well as DC. You can also put a drill on the cable end down by the tranny and have someone spin it while you watch the speedo to rule out the cable and speedo possibly being the issue. Maybe Donnie / Bobby or Ultra ranger can help a little more troubleshooting-repair?

Most just slide.into a hole in the granny case and have an o-ring seal. They are usually held in place by a ring/forked bracket and one bolt. Remove the bolt and it should wiggle right out. My gear was held onto the cable by a C-clip.
