Looked for pics showing the lower alt mounting cant seem to find them does anybody have the link to this, I have seen it before just cant find it now. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean an alternator mounted lower like near the frame rail?

The lower mount of an alternator mounted up at the cylinder head?

I don't know if this will help or not but here is a pic showing a 1976 390 lower alt. Its not the best pic and the truck is long gone but I think I saved the parts maybe it will help. I'm thinking there was ac pump or something mounted above the alt that was removed before this pic was taken.

The A/C idler pully mounts to the alt bracket. Thanks for the pic. Someone stole the original bracket for my truck, and I could only find one out of a dentside like the one pictured. Now I know how to mount my alt back up.
