That was some years back and you had to take the pics and have the roll of film developed. I wasn't much on that, but hey now it is the didgital camera age. It does help me that I have had a wood working hobby for the past 48 years. My shop has the grease and sawdust cleanup factor to it

Wood work so far in my 68. Just got the overhead in. Stain is the same color just a glare on the overhead. Going to redo the console.

Dang! Like others have said, that looks excellent! Gives the interior a very warm glow. I was just going to use a sheet of masonite and paint it white for my headliner. Now you've got me thinking ...

6 coats on the finish and rubbed out between coats. Was a real bear getting it in, but worth it.

What wood did you use? Birch? Alder? I'm assuming it's a plywood(?), since it's so thin.

Oak? From the photos, it didn't have that "oak grain look", if you know what I mean. I'm surprised that you're going with 3/4 stock for the doors, but I understand if you're needing "meat" for routing grooves and edging. I can hardly wait for pics!Mancar1 wrote:Oak paneling. The headliner is awesone, by the way! Being a weekend woodworker myself, I can really appreciate the effort that went into that!

That would be the choice of finish, not the wood. Old style linseed oil based finishes will indeed gum up but modern finishes are not prone to that.flyboy2610 wrote:Looks nice, but with the excessive heat that can build up in the interior during the summer months, could the finish handle it without getting all sticky?

love the headliner. Great Job! what would be cool is those arm rests, stained the same as that head liner, but I would make a way to put some cushion on the arm rests, humm, thoughts for my dad's F250, my father and grand father both loved wood working
