4 way flasher wires

Post by abe »

I just cleaned out a mouse nest or maybe it was a red squirrel nest as I found a walnut and a half eaten pine comb in my truck. The critters chewed on some wires. The PO rewired the marker lights and tail lights. The 4 way flasher does not work and my horn does not work. I fixed the blower to the heater. Simply had to reconnect the wire that was chewed in two. There are some other wires that are chewed off. Before I connect them I want to know what the are for.

I studied the schematics but they are in black and white... On the right side under the dash going into a red inline fuse are these wires: white with blue stripe that is chewed off.Others in that group are a think black one, a white with blue stripe and a green with red stripe.

Going into a yellow inline fuse are: a green wire, and a red wire. Both these are chewed off. There is also a red with blue stripe and a black wire.

This is on my 1970 F-350. If you can fill me in it would greatly help my search to fix my problems.

thanks!

The chart is fairly accurate for most trucks. Take the wire numbers from the diagrams and cross them with the numbers in the chart.
