What is this

Post by 69Ford »

Going through parts for my truck I found this. It is connected to a dash votage regulater that goes behind the dash cluster. Just wondering what it is and do I need to add it.
Still learning.

They were used to reduce radio noise interference caused by the charging system. Do you have interference on your radio now? If not, you probably don't need to install. If you are using a newer style radio, they already have the suppression circuit built-in.

I need one! Lots of noise in my radio.

Anyone know where to get a new aftermarket supressor.

Couldn't find anything like that part, but I found this tutorial on getting rid of noise in a sound system.
