Interior gauge lights - Blacking out?
After wiring up my new campers lights, i have started experiencing my gauge cluster blacking out for a second or two then coming back on. When this happens i hear a clicking sound coming from the glove box area. It sounds like a breaker switch of some sort. Of course, this only happens when my lights are on. Am i overloading a circuit? I have a total of 14 lights on my camper (single wire). These lights were already on this camper and since it is a 1969 camper i replaced them with new lights(not LED). I used my original Camper Special harness wiring after coverting it to a 7 wire round plug. Any help would be appreciated. Once again, only the interior dash lights are affected.

Yes it is the circuit breaker for the lights you hear. Here's a few diagrams that will point you to the wiring:alvald83 on Thu Aug 16, 2012 7:41 am

And:

By far the easiest and cheapest thing to do IMO is what I did to my 71' Winnebago Brave on a P-350 Ford chassis. I replaced the fixtures with all LED, (florescent will do the same if your have interior lights in the camper on the same circuit). I'd also consider running some additional wiring and have a dual battery isolator for the camper.

Re: Interior gauge lights - Blacking out?
I was thinking of replacing some of the lights with LED's. The LED's that i am finding are of the 2 wire type and these are replacing single wire lights. Do i just connect the ground wire to the light mounting screw? Hopefully, by switching my 4 side marker lights, it will fix my problem. if not, i will continue switching the others. I have 14 total marker lights plus the 2 taillights. i do see the suggestions to run a relay etc...but thats too much thinking for me. i tend to go the easy route even if it cost me more.
