How to hotwire 67 F-100?

Post by pizamoto »

Hey all...just found this website and see lots of good stuff. Thanks to those responsible.

I just bought a 67 F-100. Guy said it runs, all it needs is... LOL Well, one of the things it needs is a new ignition switch. Apparently he tried installing an incorrect aftermarket switch. I found an original replacement at http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/1967/f ... witch.html. But, in the meantime, I'd like to try and see if it really does start up. Can anyone help me with hotwiring it?

Thanks for any help you may offer. And, no, I'm not trying to steal it, I really did buy it.

Get a length of wire with a ballast resistor wired into the center and run it from the hot side of the battery to the coil and then jump the solenoid with a screwdriver.
