Replaced switch still no turn signals

Post by Zukinut »

Replaced the the turn signal switch and the turn signals still don't work. The flashers work but the turn signals do not. I'm getting power at the fuse but not to either side of the flasher. Do y'all have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Update::

I'm getting constant power (when key is on) to the orange wire going to the flasher.

Thanks in advance.

I also have power to the large connector that goes to the column switch. The wire that has power is the blue/ yellow tracer.

Jiggled some wires, etc and it started working. Ill do some more investigative work and see if there is a broken wire or something.

If it helps, I had the same issue last week with my break lights. Turns out the issue is in the fuse block. I unscrewed the fuse block from the firewall, jiggled it and the lights worked...for awhile. I think these old fuse blocks build up corrosion and have separations from that corrosion that stops the electrical connection. You might try cleaning the fuse block with an electrical contact cleaner and see if that solves the problem.

Turned out it was the fuse block. Hopefully this will help others on the future as well.
