Hello
I Have a 1967 Ford truck - 390 - 4 speed manual transmission
I had problems with my rear lights not working
No turn, brake or backup lights
Park or tail lights did work
Problem was in the turn light signal switch
Pulled the steering wheel and spliced the wires to have brake lights
Ordered a whole new turn light steering switch
Should be here in 2 weeks as I live in the province of Saskatchewan
But at least I have brake & tail lights for now
Now I'm trying to get my backup lights to work
No power at the rear lights
Tested for the power at the switch at the transmission
Now power there
What circuit are the backup lights on?
What fuse is the backup lights on & what other circiits run on the same fuse?
If some one could post a pic of the fuse box that would be great
thanks for any help

Re: Problem with Back Up Lights
I dont have a pic of a 67 box but I imagine its the same or similar to the 69 here http://www.fordification.com/tech/wirin ... epanel.jpg which shows the b\u lights, turnsignals and windhshield washer all on the same 14a fuse which incidentally has the same color wire as the b\u light (black w\ red stripe)
wiring schematics are available in the tech section http://www.fordification.com/tech/schematics_h.htm

Re: Problem with Back Up Lights
thanks for the information
Fixed the problem
No fuse, installed fuse
Power now to back up switch at transmission
No lights at the rear
Checked wiring under the truck
Had some cracked and broken wires at connections
Cut the connections out and crimped the wires together
Still no lights at rear
Removed the rear lights and and lightly sanded the areas that touch the frame to ensure good ground
Installed rear lights
Now the rear lights work like they should
