Lighting Problem- Turnsignals and parking lights
I have a `67 F100 with a weird lighting problem. When the brakes are depressed , the brake lights, front parking lights , and both turn signal lights in the instrument cluster come on. The turn signals don`t work when actuated, front or rear. The emergency flashers do work. From searching the archives , it appears the column mounted turn signal switch may be at fault. Its only a couple of years old- hopefully it did n`t fail so quickly. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'd go through all the front and rear bulbs and sockets and check the grounds to all of those first.

Re: Lighting Problem- Turnsignals and parking lights
Problem solved. For those interested, the column in my `67 is a power steering column out of a `70`s truck. When I wired it in I retained the glove box mounted emergency flasher switch and did not use the one on the new column. Turns out that if you pull out the emergency flasher switch on the column (like you were turning on the flashers) , the issue I listed in my original post above occur. Good hing I didn`t drop another 70 bucks on a new turn signal switch!!
