The "pumkin"is a version of red oxide..not quite the factory color, but close allthough the pic's kinda make it look "chebby"orange. And the "silver" you see is actually Titanium Metalic...Seymore product I believe

I think that I need just the opposite, (a shorter one). I'll measure mine tomorrow.
Wanna' possibly trade?
Well actually jeff....I might be able to hook ya up,but in my case....I gotta change the shroud and close up the diameter too....because PO has cut this one and it's about as effective as not having one  I'll see what my buddy has for spacers and I also have a couple different size clutch fans....if thats an option :dk:

:D I did manage to get my cab out of it's storage spot and back on the dolly :woohoo: ....shop is awful small now   ,but working on the truck has been delayed...... :pout: Sami(my black lab)ate the wiring harness off my 05 western plow :cuss: :cuss:   SO even though we don't have any snow right now......can't get caught with my pants down

Well the Project took a turn and Now I have a "driving" 67 parts donor :woohoo: So it's been a busy 5 days....22hr trip to WV(there and back)to get the truck and I've been swapping parts ever since. Swapped out inner fenders allready..sorry no pics. Weather has been good....so the swap...box for box is going full bore. My box was in bad shape and was allready showing signs that no matter what I did to it....the rust was going to win
The Pic's have moved to my other project thread

Man Jerry it's been a long time since i looked at your thread you have made a big jump man. the engine and what all you've done looks great. Very nice detail work on the motor. May be a slow go battling the cold, but you are bringing a nice truck to life for sure. :2cents:

Project of the week
Image

I've thought over many option's....Repop,used good condition...the cost plus shipping....Had my hopes up when I was told the core was good in the 67 I just got...wrong,actually in worse shape than mine. So time and material...I've got..right now. With the old rotted pieces and the support of a few good pic's of what a nice one looks like....I started rebuilding

Those repairs were made out of 20g metal and for the center(missing)part of the support...I stepped it up to 16g.....heat is your friend when forming metal
Image
Should be able to finish up today and coat it...pic's later
I've had enough and I'm not alone

Jerry,
If no one else ever says it here I will...
Your build here should give inspiration to those of us that have limited funds, (and limited resources as well). Your thread here has documented what I would say is possibly the worst possible sheet metal deterioration we've ever seen on a bump-as well as how to repair it.
Kudos to you man for sticking with it for this long!
You still married LOL?!

A good welder is twice as good a grinder. If he doesn’t do any grinding it is because an apprentice is behind him with a grinder
