Re: R12 replacement
So sorry I missed that Eric. Freeze 12 is suppose to be a "drop in" meaning it can be added right to an existing R-12 charge I believe, (I've never personally done it). I do know there are a few drop in refrigerants where you do not have to remove the R-12 charge, (hot shot used to be the rave). I was a die hard fan of R-12, (know a few acquaintances in So. Florida that got busted for importing it-nice retirement scheme) and finally sold my last 30 lb. jug of R-12 a few months ago when times got tough for me.67MercM100 on Mon Jul 11, 2011 6:28 pm
Jeff,
Thanks for your. It helps.
So to use the R12 replacement I'd need to get whatever R12 that's in there now evacuated?
Then, any idea how I know how much of the replacement to add?
I'm pretty ignorant on these things.
