Re: 70 Custom--The Fun Begins 9/16 back to the frame
Well I'm still waiting on my tranny, but should be done this week. I've been cleaning and painting parts
Re-painted a nice set of dust shields bought from tybob
Got motivated with some nice(finally)weather and went at the front of the frame.....the rust
And then some dissmantling
Got it scuffed down and cleaned. So I shot the first coat on
Going to try to get 2 or 3 coats on and finish breaking down the rest of the parts for the same

Got my tranny back and painted
Need to get some parts to get the shifter installed....
Close to have everything painted....so I can put my front end back together
Sanded down my shocks and repainted them Ford blue along with my (THX tylerB)rotors
Gotta change some other painting not thrilled with the red drums in the back

Yeah Jeff I'm getting pretty pumped....Looks like I'm going to be able to get my 390 done this summer and then I' ll get back to the body work on the truck. Still along ways to go,but I can see a glimmer of lightbasketcase0302 wrote:Looking real good Jerry, you gotta' be getting psyched about now!

Re: 70 Custom--The Fun Begins 9/16 back to the frame
I've seemed to have lost time to work on it again Mostly done with all the frame and componant repainting Should be sending the block, crank and rods to the builder within the next 2 weeks. Need to get the heads from my (painful as cutting teeth)buddy...so they can go too. I'll get some pic's up after I get the rest of the front end done.

Same here Jerry. First time in some 27 years I'm faced with working while the weather permits, (got to get it done before winter). But the job and the yard is keeping me too busy!67mann on Sun Jul 03, 2011 6:29 am
I've seemed to have lost time to work on it again

It will get there. Shoot, I've been dabbling with mine for over four years and still do not have it back on four tires. Life is the good part.67mann wrote:Thanks JW...startin to show signs of being more than a "pipe dream" ....if only life would stop getting in the way
