This is Charlie and Jake. They were a handful for the first two years but have calmed down a little.

And I can't forget my wife's watch dog

god, i love dogs. i will reserve comments until i hear the diagnosis, but it looks like sam dog is in real bad shape. he can't get up to walk or anything. it's freaking us out. will call the vet in the a.m. he is a chow hound, and won't even get up for some raw steak (free food would always get him motivated). me and the wife are tripping out right now. he is about 13 years old right now and has always had hormone problems so this isn't a surprise, but damn. it isn't looking to good.

Jerry, Sammy does look "so busted" in that pic LOL!

Chris, So sorry to hear that man. Folks that don't have dogs just don't realize they are more of a companion to most of us her. Not just a "pet"
I pulled a tick off my little girl two days ago, very red area still where it was at. Got her on a very close watch, (and with the 104-109 heat index here the past few days.

wiener dogs are cool.

thanks for the encouragement everyone. sam is doing "ok" right now. he has some severe type of arthritis and looks like he will be on anti inflammatory pills and doggie vicatins for a while. he can sort of walk now, but is still having some difficulty getting around. me and the wife are having the "quality of life" discussion right now and are taking a wait and see attitude for the next few weeks. hopefully the meds will help.

My thoughts are with you Chris...hopin' Sam is doin' ok. I know there's nothing quite like the unconditional love a man gets from his best friend.
